Genesis 3- Contentment and God's Provision

"Satan, disquised as a serpent, tempts the woman by turning her gaze from God's bountiful provision to God's one prohibition." (The Daily Walk Bible) My daughter I beseech you to be content with what God lays before you.  Whether that is small material things or big things such as marriage, God desires us to be content with what He has given us.  Satan was able to deceive Eve and make her believe she was missing out on something.  You are not missing out on any blessings if you are content with the path God chooses for you.  You will miss out on the heartache of sin and discontentment.  You will miss out on the shame and guilt of choosing your own way over God's.  The more you can miss out on those things the better.  You will not be able to belong in the world if you truly belong to God.  Keep your eyes focused on the Lord and find your true contentment in Him.  Endless laundry, dishes, and discipline can seem daunting and will make you weary, but if God chooses to give you a family find your contentment in that and God will give you joy.  If marriage is not what He has for you, find contentment knowing that His plan is supreme.  Keep your eye on God's provision for you, whatever that may be, and you will be blessed.  True joy is found in being content with God's provision.
