Today's passage revealed God's mercy numerous times in a very short span. God was merciful to the Hebrew women through Shiphrah and Puah who defied the pharoah and allowed the Hebrew baby boys to live. He was merciful to Shiphrah and Puah for their faithfulness to Him by giving them families. He was merciful to Jochabed who guarded her child and was then allowed to have him back for a few years after placing him in the nile. He was merciful to Moses after he killed an Egyptian and showed him to a new land. And above all he was merciful to the Israelites when He looked down, heard their cries, and was concerned. His mercy is shown abundantly in two short chapters. Look every day for God's mercy in your life. God's mercy was and is a major component of His divine and perfect plan.
