Exodus 13-15 Comfort in the Wrong Places

"It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the dessert."

Oh that we would trust the Lord in His journey for us and not look back at times we thought might have been better.  The Israelites fresh from their redemption from Egypt are so quick to begrudge the Lord.  Why do we desire less than what God wants for us when the journey seems to be bringing us discomfort?  They wanted to return to what they knew, even though it was horrible, because they felt what they knew was at least predictable.  I urge you though to trust the Lord.  When He brings you out of where you are, He will take you where you need to go, if you trust in Him.  The journey may be difficult, but the destination, perfect.
