If anyone had the right to not forgive, it would be Joseph. His brothers sold him into slavery because of their jealousy. Over and over again though we see Joseph express his complete forgiveness to his brothers. Even after his fathers death, a time when revenge would have been easy, he once again weeps as he reassures them he has forgiven and forgotten. My prayer is that this is the attitude we would all have in forgiveness.
"Am I in the place of God? You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives."
